The Maritime Foundation is delighted to announce the nomination list for this year’s Maritime Media Awards, which are taking place on Thursday 20 November at Six Park Place, London.
The Maritime Media Awards have been recognising public understanding of maritime issues and the UK’s dependence upon the sea for 30 years, celebrating the UK’s best maritime journalists, authors, filmmakers, digital creators and others.
Maritime Foundation Chair, Richard Clayton said:
“The British economy is under pressure from all quarters, and it’s easy to disregard the role played by the maritime sector when media coverage focuses, understandably, on who shouts loudest. At such a challenging moment, the Maritime Foundation continues to highlight all those who bring their expertise, their energy and their enthusiasm to protecting the marine environment, and all those who make their living, and get their pleasure, from it.
For 30 years, the Foundation has championed the very best journalism, the most engaging films and documentaries, the most innovative digital coverage and the most captivating books. This year our judges have found it even more difficult than ever to select the best in each category, so join us at the Maritime Media Awards Ceremony to find out who has triumphed.”
