The 28th Annual Maritime Media Awards

The 28th Annual Maritime Media Awards at Six Park Place in London on 17 October recognised the UK's best journalists, authors, filmmakers, digital creators and others whose work in the media had created a greater public understanding of maritime issues, and of the United Kingdom’s dependence upon the sea.

Hosted by Maritime Foundation Chair, Richard Clayton, the ceremony included a presentation from the Royal Navy of the Desmond Wettern Fleet Award and Kathryn Neilson, Director of the Merchant Navy Training Board was the guest speaker. The audience was shown two short films produced by Maritime Films UK for the MNTB exploring opportunities for young people in the maritime industry.
