The Maritime Media Awards 2018 started with a pre-dinner drinks reception as more than 200 members of the international maritime community and media arrived at Drapers’ Hall for networking opportunities before the evening's presentations.

Award Ceremony

The 23rd annual Maritime Media Awards guest speaker was Lewis Pugh, UN Patron of the Oceans, who gave a thought-provoking assessment of the devastation caused by plastics, illegal fishing and pollution. Top names in the maritime industry were honoured by the First Sea Lord and Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Sir Philip Jones KCB ADC, for their contribution to maritime affairs across media, film and literature.
